Positions at PaliRadio

D.J. – A disc-jockey is one of the voices of the radio station. He or she sits at the radio console in the P.A. room and gets to play music, say anything that is broadcast, and make playlists. Note: NO SWEAR WORDS ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROADCAST! ANYONE WHO DOES THIS WILL BE SEVERELY DISCIPLINED (could result in loss of position).

Public Relations staff – The public relations staff’s responsibility is to promote awareness of the radio station and, more importantly, seek new revenue opportunities for the radio station (such as soliciting advertisements from local businesses).

Officers:

Music director – The music director is in charge of scheduling the D.J.’s and disciplining the D.J.’s when necessary.

Sports / News director – The person in charge of compiling news and sports reports to be read on-air.

Public Relations director – The public relations director has the responsibility of the coordinating the efforts of the public relations staff.

Technology director – It is up to the technology director to ensure that the station is running properly. If not, it is this person’s responsibility to fix it. He or she is also in charge of maintaining the console, keeping the room clean, and acquiring new equipment when we have the money.
